We really enjoyed it! Dürnstein was a little rushed but of course this is the nature of a day tour. There was a choice to buy lunch on the boat ride, or in the small town of Melk, before entering the Abbey. We strolled through the town and enjoyed a fresh sandwich from a bakery. It was a lovely day.”

Although the listing states that beverages are not included it is not stated at meal times etc when staff offer drinks so just a wee reminder that you will have to pay for these by the end of the trip. The 2 hours in Durnstein was enough for a little wander but as it was a Sunday not all places were open.”

The weather cooperated and we were able to get seats on the upper deck of the boat to enjoy the beautiful views. Seats on the upper deck are taken up quickly as there are people who take the cruise but not the meal so if you want to sit outside after you eat you need to be vigilant. The meal was excellent and the service staff were very polite and accomodating. For a cost of $94 per person (Canadian $) this was excellent value. We would…”
